These 10 communities received grants to improve bicycling.

A big city, a small town, and a whole bunch of communities in between are the happy recipients of PeopleForBikes grants this autumn. Now in its 14th year, our Community Grants Program supports projects to build great places to ride and focused efforts to make the joy of bicycling available to people across the country.

Since the Program's inception, we have awarded a total of $2.5 million to match more than $650 million in other funding, and have made grants in 49 states and the District of Columbia. (Rhode Island, we are waiting for you!) A whopping 127 applications for this cycle tells us that biking is booming and communities everywhere are working to get more bike lanes, trails, parks, and paths on the ground.

Check out the projects we just funded, from the first multi-use path in Beach, North Dakota, to the campaign to install bikeways on key corridors in Atlanta, Georgia. We couldn't be more impressed with the work happening in these communities. Please join us in congratulating the people who are making it possible!

-The PeopleForBikes team

We are tremendously grateful to the bicycle industry members who make our grants program possible: Fuji, Giant, Shimano, SRAM, and Trek.
