Hi Daniel,

Here are two upcoming bike-related events in the Windy City we thought you might be interested in. Enjoy the ride this fall!

BIKE TO THE CHICAGO MARATHON

Divvy bike to the Chicago Marathon As thousands of people venture into town this weekend for the Chicago Marathon (and the roads get extra crowded), now is the perfect time to see the city by bike. This Friday and Saturday, PeopleForBikes is setting up shop at the Health + Fitness Expo at McCormick Place with our partners at Volkswagen. Stop by and say hi! On Sunday, race spectators are encouraged to bike to the race as well as to the 27th Mile Post-Race Party in Grant Park's Butler Field. Bicycle parking is available at the McDonald's Cycle Center, located at Randolph Street and Columbus Drive.

Don't have a bike to get to the Expo or the race? No problem. With 300 stations and 3,000 bikes available across Chicago, Divvy is a convenient and fun way to get around on race weekend. Divvy offers 24-hour passes for $7. For more information on Divvy and to see locations throughout the city, visit the Divvy website.

REI CONCERT WITH BEN SOLLEE

Cellist Ben Sollee is touring Lake Michigan by bikeSince 2009, cellist and songwriter Ben Sollee and his crew have been touring the US, at times by bike, as a way to bring music to local communities between major cities. On Saturday, October 12, Sollee is making a special stop at the Lincoln Park REI. Come with your family and friends, learn about utility cycling, attend an exclusive Ben Sollee performance, and enter for a chance to win a Nau outfit from REI. The concert starts at 11 AM and concludes with a bike ride led by Ben. Bring your bike and your friends! Visit the REI site to reserve your spot.

Happy riding,
